Gabháltas Séarluis Mhóir; Stair na Lumbardach; Book of Ser Marco Polo

19th cent. Paper. 18 × 14.5 cms. 232 pp. Scribe: Peadar mac Michil Uí Longain, `Carraig na bhFear', 1840 (p. 231). The pagination is scribal; initial capitals on pp. 1, 121, are rubricated. Divergences, other than orthographical, in the texts below show they do not directly derive from the Book of Lismore.

Bound in three-quarter leather with three blank leaves inserted after the front cover and one before the back cover; `Searlas Mor' in gilt and `10831' labelled on spine; `Phillipps MS 10831', `a 22.654' inside front cover, `p. 196' and English titles of texts on recto of first blank leaf. This and the following nine manuscripts were acquired by Phillipps from Pól Ó Longáin.
