19th cent. Paper. 23.5 × 18.5 cms. 272 pp. Scribe: Ioseph Ó Longáin (and not Peter Longan as stated in Manuscript sources for the history of Irish civilization (1965), ed. Hayes). There is no signature. Initial letter of text rubricated.

Bound in half-leather with `Langan MSS./Agallav na Seanoiree/From the Book of Lismore' in gilt and `15701' labelled on spine; `Bought of Joseph Langan 1850. Vol. 2. Agallav na Seanoiree. From the Book of Lismore transcribed by Joseph Longan in 1849', `15701 Ph' and `Phillipps MS 15701' inside front cover; `Agallav na Seanoiree or Caoilte's account of Fingal' on recto of first end- paper. A leaf giving the `Contents of 6 Volumes' is labelled (in reverse order) on the recto of first end-paper. A leaf giving the `Contents of 6 Volumes' is labelled (in reverse order) on the recto of first end-paper. It appears to be in the hand of Pól Ó Longáin. Vol. 1 is now G 94, Vol. 2 the present manuscript, Vol. 3 G 120, Vol. IV G 121, etc. The description of Vol. 2 says: `Agallav na Seanoiree. This work was copies from the Original Book of Lismore ....'
