18th cent. Paper. 30 × 18.5 cms. vi + 452 + [vi] pp. (errors in scribal pagination 1-449 are: 82 and 261 omitted, 327 and 403 repeated). Scribe: Martan O hÁodha, `Áth na gCárrtha,' 1792 (p. 451 [449]). The following note signed by Charles O'Conor is on p. v: `Pill-Lane Mar. 27 1783,/The following Annals of the four Masters were copies by Martin Hughes, from the originals, in my hands.'

Bound in half-leather with `Annals of the 4 Masters' in gilt and `22222' labelled on spine; `No 1' (?) and `22222 Ph' labelled on recto of front cover, `Phillipps MS 22222' written on verso; `24 Rejent Str(eet)' on fragment of front end-paper now labelled on verso of front cover; `Longman March 1838' on p. i. Listed under `Ex Bibl. Miscellaneis' in Phillipps's Catalogus.
