Foras Feasa ar Éirinn

18th and 19th cent. Paper. 30 × 19 cms. [8] + 352 (pp. 9-10 now missing) + [8] pp. interleaved (watermark 1810) up to p. 26. Scribal pagination. Scribe: Labrás Fainín (Laurentius Fanning, Laurence Fanning) `Ceapa an tSealgaire', 1727 (pp. 197, 330, 351). When the manuscript was bound, some time after 1810, three of the end blank leaves inserted by the binder were used, perhaps by Patrick Lynch (cf. King's Inns MS 4), for an index of the contents, and the recto of the second front blank leaf for a title-page. A single sheet measuring 23 × 30 cms. unpaginated and pasted on the verso of the third end blank leaf, is written by an unidentified 19th cent hand.

Extraneous entries and jottings include: `Ulliam Bulghaier', p. 26; arithmetical calculation, p. 39; `Tomas', p. 123; `Píaras: an taonmheadh lá déag don mhi January 1746/7 air maidin / Risdeard: an taonmheadh la déag don mhí February a meodhain laoi 1748/9', p. 198; `Do seirbhiseach biothbhuan go bás .i.
