Genealogies; Ossianic Verse

19th cent. Paper. 18 × 14 cms. 90 pp. (scribal [8]-66 [remainder unnumbered] shows four leaves missing at beginning). Scribe: Victor Calladine, pp. 19, 46 (another hand possibly wrote pp. 47-9). The English verse on the last two pages was written by James Walsh `Carrigeen' (p. 90). The following names and jottings occur in the manuscript: `62' (of Jonathan Furlong collection), p. 3; drawing of a house, p. 50; `Patt. Cearley shit and farther', p. 86; `Patt Mahony Mallow', p. 88. The outer half of pp. 77-8 is cut away with no apparent loss of text. The first leaf is fragmentary and supported by transparent paper.

Bound in blue cloth with marbled endpapers and `Ossianic Poems, Pedigrees' gilt-lettered on spine. Comyn ms 35.
