Coppinger) and (c) unidentified (same as unidentified hand in G 236) wrote the phrases. For other details concerning this manuscript see G 236 above.

English-Irish Glossary. A-H only. Opens with `The Irish Alphabet'. Glossary beg. Able (I am) féadam, faydhim. Ends Hawk, Seabhac (Shouk) ... Latin `stercorarius'. Approx. 70 items.

Phrases. This section mainly consists of: (a) `... twelve extracts [viz. Salutations, Greetings, Farewells, Welcomes, Thanks ...] ... copied from Charles Percy Bush's square note-book (compared with original Aug. 14 '95. V.J.C.)'. (b) Numerals (cardinal and ordinal) copied from `C.P. Bushes little dark leather covered book entitled (on cover) "Irish Numerals &c." This copy finished 23rd June 1894 (four)'.
