Cúirt an Mheadhon-Oidhche

20th cent. Paper. 19.5 × 13 cms. Ruled note-book. 201 ff. ([ii] + scribal 1- 140 continued in modern pencil to 164, remainder blank and unnumbered). Scribe: L. C. Stern (unsigned), 1902-3.

Bound in three-quarter linen with `Stern Glossar zu Cuirt an Mheadhan Oidhche 1902-3' labelled on spine. `Sent on behalf of Mrs L. C. Stern, Bulow-strasse 45, Berlin W by K.M.' [= Kuno Meyer] labelled on recto of front endpaper with the date `Nov. 10. 1911' in pencil below; a Latin couplet also on that page; the verso contains a Greek quotation from Aeschylus, verse in Latin, a German quotation from Lessing and the date `29.4.02'.

Followed (f. 161) by colophon from examplar: `Críoch mar do fúarrus reomham. airna sgríobh le Michael Ó Loínse ó Bhallaidhcháin agus sirim guídhe an léightheora air son Dé agus manama. A éigse sruith leigheanta aithcim bhurr nguídhe'. 1 st. `Michael Lynch Ballyhani [sic] Co. Cork.'

Limerick, but as they are not to be met with any other ms. it is possible that they were written by Gahagan himself who was something of a poet.
