18th cent. Paper (watermark `1797' in flyleaves). 22 × 18 cms. [i-ii] + 310 pp. with scribal numbering. Writing in double column. Scribe: William Neilson (Uilliam Mac Neil), `Tradbhaille' [Dundalk], 1798.

Bound in half-leather now somewhat worn; `Mc Curtins Dictionary' gilt-lettered and a former number `3162' labelled on spine; bookseller's label bearing `T. Connolly, Bookseller, 10, Up. Ormond Quay, Dublin' pasted inside front cover; `6 manuscript' inside front cover and `21/-' inside back. The following on p. ii: `Séamus Ó Casaide.
